Two-Book Graphic Novel Deal with Andrews McMeel
I'm happy to share that Curses, by author-illustrator Chelsea Carr, has sold to Andrews McMeel in a two-book deal.
After 500 years of losing her temper — and occasionally turning people into animals — Wilma the witch is forced to make a fresh start in Happy Hollow, a relentlessly cheerful town where conflict is strictly forbidden. With help from her upbeat fairy neighbor Pixel and her frog-turned brother Edwin, Wilma begins to discover that negative feelings aren’t the enemy, and that anger can be channeled into friendship, problem-solving, and maybe even a little (positive) magic.
Editor Lucas Wetzel acquired world rights, with publication planned for 2028.
Congratulations, Chelsea!
